Olivia M. Mejido
Biography
Olivia M. Mejido is an Associate in our office in Tampa, and she concentrates her practice on aging services, medical malpractice, and dental litigation defense. She also represents clients in premises liability and general liability matters.
She has worked on numerous cases for long-term care facilities, clinical and managerial staff, investors, and other professionals involved in alleged Chapter 400 and Chapter 429 violations. She also represents clients in arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution forums.
Olivia earned a Juris Doctor from Stetson University with a certificate of concentration in Elder Law. During law school, she was an Associate Editor of the Journal of International Aging Law & Policy and a research assistant. Olivia was a recipient of The William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award for performing double the amount of pro bono work required for graduation. She was also a member and mentor with Stetson’s Hispanic Bar Association, a LexisNexis student representative, and a member of the Dispute Resolution Board. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Sociology with double minors in Spanish and Law and Society at Florida State University.
