Sydney Hussey
Biography
Sydney Hussey is an associate in the Charlotte office, who represents clients in business litigation, data privacy and cyber security, and health care matters.
Sydney returns to HBS after previously working with the firm as a summer associate, where she gained practical, hands-on experience supporting clients and cases. She also served as a legal intern with another local firm, where she drafted and revised legal documents, conducted research on civil litigation and malpractice matters, and assisted attorneys with case preparation. In addition, Sydney worked as a book editing intern, reviewing and contextualizing past mayoral speeches for publication.
Originally from Florida, Sydney earned her Juris Doctor from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, where she served as treasurer of the intellectual property legal society. During law school, she also earned an LL.M. in international law from Nottingham Trent University, completing part of her studies abroad in Nottingham, England.
Sydney earned her bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in legal studies from Queens University of Charlotte, where she served as vice president of the pre-law society. A standout student-athlete, she captained the women’s lacrosse team and received numerous honors, including First Team All-American, Comeback Athlete of the Year, and NCAA Final Four participant.
