Charlotte Office Welcomes New Associate

Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is pleased to welcome Sydney Hussey as an associate in its Charlotte office, where she will focus her practice on business litigation, data privacy and cybersecurity, and health care matters.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Sydney back to HBS,” said Richard Sheinis, Managing Partner of the Charlotte office. “She’s a talented attorney whose drive and attention to detail make her a valuable addition to our growing team.”
Sydney returns to HBS after previously serving as a Summer Associate, where she gained practical, hands-on experience supporting clients and assisting attorneys across a wide range of complex cases. She also worked as a legal intern with another local firm, drafting and revising legal documents, conducting research on civil litigation and malpractice matters, and assisting with case preparation. Earlier in her career, she served as a book editing intern, reviewing and contextualizing past mayoral speeches for publication.
Originally from Florida, Sydney earned her Juris Doctor from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, where she served as treasurer of the Intellectual Property Legal Society. During law school, she also earned an LL.M. in international law from Nottingham Trent University, completing part of her studies abroad in Nottingham, England. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in legal studies from Queens University of Charlotte, where she served as vice president of the Pre-Law Society. A standout student-athlete, she captained the women’s lacrosse team and received numerous honors, including First Team All-American, Comeback Athlete of the Year, and NCAA Final Four Participant.
