Travis Pate
Biography
Travis Pate is an associate in the Augusta office of Hall Booth Smith, where he focuses his practice on general liability, medical malpractice, construction and premises liability matters.
Before becoming an associate, Travis worked with the firm as a summer associate, where he drafted pleadings and other documents in medical malpractice cases, conducted detailed research on issues such as bad faith attorney fees and discovery disputes, and assisted in mediations that involved multi-million-dollar settlements.
Travis also gained valuable legal experience as a legal intern with the District Attorney’s Office in Thomson, Georgia, where he supported prosecutors in the child and family law division by organizing trial exhibits, preparing case files, and analyzing courtroom procedures. His early professional experience also includes leadership roles in the construction industry, where he managed compliance and safety programs.
Travis earned his J.D. from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University, where he served as President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Club. He received his B.A. in legal studies from Faulkner University, where he was a member of the football team.
