Hall Booth Smith Adds David Badie as Of Counsel in New Jersey & New York Expansion

SADDLE BROOK, NEW JERSEY – June 7, 2021 – Hall Booth Smith, P.C. is pleased to announce that Of Counsel David W. Badie has joined the firm to expand its medical malpractice defense capabilities in the New Jersey and New York region.

Badie defends hospitals, health care systems, physicians, nurses, administrators and other health care professionals in high-exposure medical malpractice cases and other liability lawsuits. He develops litigation strategy and works alongside in-house counsel, risk management and administrative teams in pursuit of favorable outcomes. He also advises health care clients on regulatory, compliance, administrative and day-to-day business matters.

Earlier in his career, Badie worked at a boutique health care defense law firm where he represented one of New Jersey’s largest hospital and health care networks as well as its physicians, nurses, administrators, directors and other professionals.

Based in HBS’s office in Saddle Brook, New Jersey, Badie also works closely with colleagues in the firm’s New York City office to serve clients on a wide range of medical malpractice defense, long term care, general liability, and mediation and arbitration matters.

Badie completed the intensive training program of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) National Trial College at Harvard Law School. He earned a J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law, and also attended Rutgers School of Law. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree at Montclair State University, and is fluent in Arabic and Spanish.
