Hall Booth Smith Adds Haigler in Jacksonville and Myers in West Palm Beach

JACKSONVILLE and WEST PALM BEACH, FL – October 21, 2021 – Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) welcomes two new Associates to its offices in Florida as the firm expands to serve client needs in the Sunshine State and beyond.

Michael R. Haigler is an Associate in Jacksonville where he focuses his practice on the representation of health care providers, medical malpractice and general commercial litigation. Michael formerly practiced as a litigator in North Carolina and has tried numerous cases to jury verdict as lead counsel in the District and Superior Courts of North Carolina. He has also handled favorable appellate cases before the North Carolina Court of Appeals. In 2021, he was selected as a North Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Star in Civil Litigation. Additionally, Michael’s practice includes advising insurance carriers on coverage, coverage related issues and opinions related to the same. Prior to joining HBS, Michael worked for insurance defense firms in Charlotte, North Carolina. Michael earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from the Charlotte School of Law and a B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama.

Samantha B. Myers is an Associate in West Palm Beach where she defends the rights of clients in medical malpractice, aging services, personal injury, liability and negligence litigation. She also represents clients in mediation and arbitration to resolve disputes outside of the courtroom. Prior to joining HBS, Samantha was an Assistant State Attorney for Palm Beach County in Circuit Court, where she oversaw felony offenses and served as a prosecutor in the Special Victims Unit. She also interned as a summer associate at a national full-service law firm and worked as a law clerk for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit and prepared bench memoranda for Circuit Court Judges. Samantha earned a J.D., cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University Shepherd Broad College of Law and a B.S. at Carnegie Mellon University School of Business. Samantha is bilingual in both English and Spanish.
