Hall Booth Smith Expands New York City Office with Addition of Four Attorneys

New York, NY – Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) has added four attorneys to its New York City office as the firm expands to serve its clients in the state of New York.

Warren S. Koster is a Partner in our New York City office. He comes to HBS with extensive experience in a wide variety of insurance defense litigation, including products liability, professional liability, medical malpractice, and general liability. Other areas of specialty include labor law, employment practices litigation, and insurance coverage issues.

After law school, Warren joined the Kings County District Attorney’s Office as a prosecutor, where he was named one of the youngest deputy chiefs of the trial bureau in the office’s history. He continued his public service as Counsel to the Criminal Justice Coordinator to the Office of the Mayor of the City of New York. In this capacity, Warren advised the mayor’s office regarding a variety of issues concerning the mayor’s legislative agenda as it related to the criminal justice system. After moving into private practice, Warren was a founding partner of Koster, Brady & Nagler, LLP. Warren received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A., cum laude, in International Relations from The American University.

Matthew J. Koster is a Partner in our New York City office. He focuses his practice on representing employers in labor and employment matters, medical malpractice, professional malpractice and ethics, premises liability, labor law and industrial code violations, property damage, breach of contract, general liability cases, and insurance coverage disputes. Clients routinely engage Matthew for training and prevention seminars on best workplace practices.

Prior to joining HBS, Matthew was Partner at a local insurance defense firm where he specialized in labor & employment, construction, professional malpractice, and premises liability matters.  He also worked at a national law firm where he handled labor & employment, E&O liability, construction, and premises liability matters. Matthew earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A., magna cum laude, in History from the University of Pennsylvania.

William G. Arsenault is an Associate Attorney in our New York City office. He focuses his practice on construction, general liability, insurance coverage, medical malpractice, and premises liability matters.

Prior to joining HBS, Bill worked at a New York insurance defense firm and as an Assistant District Attorney for the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, focusing on domestic violence cases. While earning his J.D. at the Temple University Beasley School of Law, Bill was president of the Temple Law Democrats and served on the Temple Law International Moot Court team. He earned a Masters degree in Philosophy in International Relations and Conflict Resolution and a B.A. degree in History and Political Science from Trinity College Dublin.

Ayesha M. Husain is an Associate Attorney in our New York City office. Ayesha brings to HBS experience practicing insurance defense, medical malpractice, transportation liability, and personal injury.

Ayesha earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law with dual concentrations in Health Law and Labor/Employment Law. During her time in law school, she served as the notes and comment editor for the ABA Journal of Labor & Employment Law, worked in the Civil Litigation Clinic, and was a Member of the Theodore MacMillan Inns of Court. Ayesha earned her M.S. in Science of Health Care Delivery from Arizona State University and a B.S. in Public Health from Saint Louis University.
