Hall Booth Smith Tifton Welcomes New Attorney
The Tifton office of Hall Booth Smith welcomes Elizabeth McCumber as an associate attorney, who will be focusing on aging services, medical malpractice and transportation matters.
“We’re excited to welcome Elizabeth to our team in Tifton. Her experience brings a strong foundation of legal knowledge and professionalism. We look forward to the contributions she’ll make as we continue to serve our clients across South Georgia and beyond,” said Partner Brent Hyde.
Prior to joining HBS, Elizabeth served as a law clerk in the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, where she aided the violent crimes unit in preparing for murder trials by reviewing evidence, preparing witnesses, building case themes and theories, and drafting motions. She also represented the county in several preliminary hearings for misdemeanor and minor felony drug charges. In addition, Elizabeth worked as a legal assistant at a private law firm in Georgia, where she supported attorneys in drafting legal filings and communicating with clients. She also gained experience in public service through a congressional internship with U.S. Representative Austin Scott, assisting with constituent services and policy research.
Elizabeth earned her J.D. from Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, where she was recognized for academic excellence with multiple best paper awards and named to the Dean’s List. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.
