Hall Booth Smith Welcomes Gaylon C. Hollis to its Atlanta Office

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – March 22, 2021 – Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is pleased to welcome Attorney Gaylon C. Hollis to its Atlanta office as the firm expands its intellectual property practice to serve the needs of its clients.

Gaylon works closely with clients on a wide range of intellectual property matters, including patentability opinions, foreign and domestic patent applications, trademark analysis and filings, claim coverage for new products prior to market launch, IP portfolio management, licensing and compliance, SaaS agreements and measures to protect against infringement.

Prior to joining HBS, Gaylon was an attorney at several law firms, including his own boutique intellectual property firm in Atlanta, and worked as a contract attorney at other law firms and at an on-demand legal services firm. He was formerly an adjunct professor in intellectual property law at Clayton State University, where he delivered more than 20 guest lectures at historically black colleges and universities. He was also an associate in the Georgia Tech Research Corporation Office of Industry Engagement. Early in his career, Gaylon was a senior systems engineer at Lockheed Martin, a test engineer at NASA, and a systems engineer at General Motors.

Gaylon earned a J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law, as well as a double M.S. in electrical and mechanical engineering and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also holds a B.S., magna cum laude, in mathematics from Morehouse College.
