Hall Booth Smith Expands Denver Office with Addition of Donovan Estrada and Linnea Cheek
Hall Booth Smith, P.C. continues the expansion of the firm’s Denver office with the additions of Donovan Estrada and Linnea Cheek as new associates.
“We’re excited to have Donovan and Linnea join our team in Denver,” said Richard Sheinis, Managing Partner in the Denver office. “Each brings a unique perspective and experience that will enhance our ability to provide exceptional service to our clients across the region.”
Donovan focuses his practice on general liability, business litigation, and construction matters. He represents corporate, insurance, and individual clients in complex civil litigation in both state and federal courts.
Prior to joining the firm, Donovan practiced at a boutique Denver-based litigation firm, where he gained experience in construction defect litigation, insurance coverage, and risk allocation. He has worked across all phases of litigation, including motion practice, depositions, discovery management, and settlement negotiations.
Donovan earned his Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law, where he served as lead articles editor for the Journal of the Energy Law Practitioner and received academic honors. He earned his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Texas Tech University.
Linnea focuses her practice on construction, dental, medical malpractice, and premises liability matters. She represents clients through all phases of litigation and provides strategic support in complex liability cases.
Linnea started with the firm as a summer associate, where she gained critical skills in writing, legal reasoning, and diligent case management. She was given the valuable opportunity to draft memoranda, discovery materials, and dispositive motions.
Earlier in her career, Linnea served as a Congressional Intern for U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper, where she assisted with constituent services and contributed to policy-related communications with federal and local stakeholders.
Linnea received her J.D. from the University of Colorado and her B.A. in Political Science, from St. Olaf College. While in law school, Linnea participated in a Civil Practice Clinic where she represented clients directly. This responsibility early on strengthened her advocacy skills and provided valuable courtroom exposure. She also was a member of the Barrister’s Council, competed in yearly moot court competitions, and served as President of Colorado Law’s Innocence Project for all three years of law school.
