Hall Booth Smith continues its growth with the addition of James A. Wilson as an Associate in the Little Rock, Arkansas office, where his practice focuses on civil litigation matters, including personal injury defense, insurance fraud investigation and litigation, regulatory matters, and a variety of property and casualty-related claims.

“James brings a unique combination of litigation experience, regulatory insight, and exceptional leadership developed through his military service,” said Baxter Drennon, Partner in the firm’s Little Rock office. “His discipline, analytical mindset, and commitment to service will make him a tremendous asset to our clients and our team.”

Before joining Hall Booth Smith, Wilson gained valuable experience with several Arkansas-based law practices, where he represented clients in civil litigation, contract disputes, real estate matters, estate planning, and probate proceedings. He has also worked with insurance carriers on coverage analysis and defense strategies, advised public entities on regulatory compliance and policy issues, and supported corporate clients with commercial agreements and risk management initiatives.

Earlier in his career, Wilson served as an officer in the United States Air Force, where he served as an aircrew member on C-130 and Special Operations U-28 aircraft and deployed six times in support of combat operations around the world. He is among the top four percent of Air Force aviators, having logged more than 1,460 combat flight hours across 570 combat sorties. For his service, he received numerous commendations, including 13 Air Medals.

Following his military service, Wilson spent several years as a business leader in the electric utilities industry before returning to Little Rock to pursue his legal career.

Wilson holds a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. During law school, he served as President and Vice President of the UA Little Rock Law Student Veterans Organization and was a member of the inaugural Veterans Legal Services Clinic. He was also recognized for several academic achievements, including receiving the Top Paper award in Oil and Gas Law.
