HBS Nashville Welcomes Two New Attorneys
The Nashville office of Hall Booth Smith is pleased to welcome Of Counsel Nicole Price and Associate Morgan Crocker. Nicole and Morgan add depth to our Nashville office, with Nicole bringing extensive experience in labor and employment, general liability, medical malpractice, and litigation, and Morgan contributing a strong foundation in litigation, particularly in general liability and transportation matters.
“We’re excited to welcome these two talented attorneys to our team as we continue to enhance our legal services to both local and nationwide clients,” said Karl Braun, Managing Partner of the Nashville office.
About Nicole Price
Nicole joins Hall Booth Smith after a distinguished federal career, beginning as a staff attorney with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Office of General Counsel (VA OGC), where she supported healthcare providers and handled matters including labor and employment, medical malpractice, and hospital administration. She advanced to Deputy Chief Counsel for VA OGC’s Atlanta office, overseeing legal operations in Georgia and South Carolina, and later served as Chief of the Civil Division for the U.S. Army’s 3rd Infantry Division, where her work in labor law and risk management contributed to Fort Stewart being named the Army Community of Excellence gold winner in 2019.
She returned to VA OGC as a senior trial attorney and was soon promoted to Deputy Chief Counsel over litigation for the Personnel Law Group in Washington, D.C. In that role, she advised senior VA leadership, trained healthcare executives, and led a team handling the agency’s most complex employment litigation, including class actions, COVID-19 policy, and cases under the VA Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act. She also spearheaded pay litigation reform, negotiated landmark settlements, and supported the agency’s response to high-profile issues, including national sexual harassment scandals.
About Morgan Crocker
Before joining HBS, Morgan served as an Assistant District Attorney for the 24th Judicial District of Tennessee. In that role, she independently managed all aspects of criminal prosecution in Henry County, including overseeing dockets with thousands of cases annually in both General Sessions and Circuit Courts. She served as lead prosecutor in multiple jury trials, handling everything from voir dire to closing arguments, and maintained consistent engagement with crime victims and law enforcement throughout the litigation process.
Her previous experience also includes clerking for the Shelby County Circuit Court in Memphis, where she conducted in-depth legal research and drafted judicial opinions. She also gained valuable legal training as a law clerk for an estate planning law firm.
