HBS Welcomes Attorneys Jim Durham and Audra Rizzi to the Brunswick office

Brunswick, GA – Hall Booth Smith, P.C. announced today that Jim Durham has joined the firm as a partner in the Brunswick office along with Audra Rizzi, who joins as Of Counsel. They practiced together previously at Durham & Rizzi.

Durham has over 30 years of trial experience.  He has been selected annually as a Georgia Super Lawyer and has had an “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell for over 20 years. Durham is a past President of the State Bar of Georgia, has served on the Judicial Qualifications Commission of Georgia from 2004 through 2013 and has been a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers since 2008.  He has been lead counsel in over 100 jury trials and a large number of appellate arguments during his career.  He  has been involved in multiple areas of civil litigation, including commercial litigation, products liability, medical malpractice defense, personal injury, and insurance coverage disputes.
Durham graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in 1980 and received his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1983. While at the University of Georgia, he was President of the Student Union, President of Gridiron, President of Sphinx Honorary Society, and President of Blue Key Honorary Society.
Audra Rizzi joins the Brunswick office as Of Counsel.  Throughout her career, Rizzi has been involved in healthcare law, commercial civil litigation and complex domestic disputes. She has an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell.  She graduated from the College of William & Mary in 1994.  Rizzi received her J.D. from Catholic University of America in 2001, where she graduated summa cum laude and was the recipient of the Miriam T. Rooney Scholarship for Outstanding Achievement.  After law school, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Welton Curtis Sewell, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.  She started her career at the prestigious Washington, D.C. firm of Steptoe and Johnson before moving to Georgia.
