HBS Welcomes Hickman to its Brunswick Office

BRUNSWICK, GA – October 21, 2020 – Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) has added Attorney Matthew Hickman to its Brunswick office. Matthew, a native of Saint Simons Island, Georgia, will focus his practice on a wide range of commercial, healthcare, and general liability matters.

Prior to joining HBS, Matthew clerked for the Honorable Judge Lisa Godbey Wood in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia. In addition, Matthew was a summer associate at HBS and an Atlanta-based boutique litigation and arbitration firm. Prior to attending law school, Matthew worked for an international law firm and served as a legislative aide to House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams.

Matthew earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law, with honors, in 2019. While at Emory, he also earned a Master of Divinity, with honors, from Emory’s Candler School of Theology, worked as student fellow for the Center for the Study of Law and Religion, and served as the Chief of Staff for the Journal of Law & Religion. Matthew earned his B.A. from Mercer University, graduating summa cum laude in 2012.
