Paramus, NJ Office Welcomes Experienced Attorney to the Firm

Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is pleased to announce that Kevin Harrington has joined the firm’s Paramus, NJ office as Of Counsel. With more than four decades of experience in civil litigation and insurance defense, Harrington is a long time, well-respected trial attorney and a leader in the legal community.

Throughout his distinguished career, Harrington has defended clients in complex negligence, personal injury, and professional liability cases across New Jersey. Before joining HBS, he co-founded and led several successful law firms, including Catania and Harrington and later Harrington and Lombardi, LLP, where he built a successful negligence defense practice. Earlier in his career, he served as an Assistant Prosecutor and Special Deputy Attorney General for Passaic County and clerked for the Honorable Thomas R. Rumana of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division.
Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney since 1986, Harrington has been consistently recognized for his legal acumen and professionalism. He has been named among New Jersey Super Lawyers for 20 consecutive years, featured in Who’s Who in American Law, and holds a Distinguished rating from Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting his high ethical standards and exceptional legal ability.
In addition to his practice, Kevin is deeply involved in advancing the legal profession. He is a past President of the Passaic County Bar Association and a Master of the Robert L. Clifford American Inn of Court, where he frequently lectures on civil litigation topics. He also serves as an instructor for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, teaching courses on civil trial preparation and litigation strategy. His commitment to professionalism has been recognized with the New Jersey State Bar Association Professionalism Award and the Passaic County Distinguished Civil Practitioner Award. Kevin has also served as a member of the ethics committee and prior chair of the fee arbitration committee.
Kevin earned his Juris Doctor from New England Law and his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Political Science from Niagara University, where he was named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.
