West Palm Beach Szabo Thomas Solomon

Hall Booth Smith is proud to announce the addition of experienced attorneys Jon Szabo, Jennifer K. Thomas, and Richard A. Solomon to its West Palm Beach office.

About the Attorneys

Jon Szabo

Jon Szabo is a partner and handles the defense of catastrophic trucking, automobile, and bodily injury and wrongful death cases across the state of Florida. He is part of a “rapid response team” often called to accident scenes within hours of a crash or incident to preserve evidence, interview witnesses, and put clients in the best position to evaluate a case early on. His other primary areas of practice include premises liability, negligent security, medical malpractice, and other general liability defense matters.

Prior to joining HBS, Jon was a partner at a civil litigation defense firm where he worked for over 12 years. There, he handled his own cases from pre-suit through trial, defending well-known self-insureds and insured trucking companies and retailers. Jon earned his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University and his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in History from the University of South Carolina.

Jennifer K. Thomas

Jennifer K. Thomas is Of Counsel with over 20 years of litigation experience and focuses her practice on dental, general liability, medical malpractice, and professional malpractice matters. Prior to joining HBS, she worked as a partner with a reputable civil litigation firm specializing in medical malpractice defense and related administrative disciplinary investigations and hearings handling all aspects of the cases from pre-suit investigation through resolution. She also has experience practicing in community association law. She began her career as an Assistant State Attorney for the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit in Martin County, Florida.

Richard A. Solomon

Richard A. Solomon is Of Counsel, who has over 30 years of experience defending building material manufacturers and suppliers, trucking companies, and other product manufacturers in a variety of construction, commercial, products liability, breach of contract, personal injury, and wrongful death claims.

Prior to joining HBS, Richard was a partner at a long-standing Florida litigation defense firm. There, he served as a principal architect in Florida’s economic loss rule defense matters, which has contributed to construction and manufacturing clients avoiding millions of dollars of unwarranted tort liability and allowing them to control and limit their liability exposure to the terms of their written contracts.

“We are excited for Jon, Jennifer, and Richard to join our team and believe they will help further strengthen the solid reputation our firm has in the West Palm Beach area,” said Denise Dawson, managing partner of the West Palm Beach office.
