Danielle S. Blauvelt is a Partner in our office in Nashville, Tennessee, and she specializes in the defense of a wide range of health care liability matters, including wrongful death and birth trauma, and correctional health care in state and federal courts.

She brings more than a decade of litigation experience to HBS, and previously worked at law firms in California where she defended doctors, dentists, health care providers, and health care systems in a variety of malpractice lawsuits. She also handled numerous labor and employment matters, general liability actions, and she served as house counsel for a major insurance company.

Danielle received her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She then earned Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School where she competed in national level moot court competitions and received the CALI award in Interviewing, Counseling & Negotiation. She and her husband have one son, a dog, cats and fish.

Danielle is admitted to practice in California and Tennessee.

EXPERIENCE

Danielle has extensive experience in successfully defending doctors, dentists and other healthcare professionals in malpractice claims. She manages cases through all phases, from discovery and case strategy to risk assessment to arguing before the court. Her practice also includes the full spectrum of labor and employment matters.
