Veteran Litigator and Mediator Jim London Joins Hall Booth Smith’s Nashville Office

Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is pleased to welcome James H. “Jim” London to its Nashville office, adding a veteran litigator and nationally recognized mediator with more than 50 years of legal practice and more than 30 years of experience as a mediator and arbitrator.

Throughout his career, Jim has represented clients in complex civil litigation and dispute resolution matters involving medical malpractice, products liability, transportation, asbestos litigation and other high-exposure claims throughout Tennessee and the Southeast. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in challenging matters and brings substantial experience as both a trial attorney and mediator.

Jim has conducted more than 2,000 mediations and arbitrations throughout the Southeast. He is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Mediator, a Fellow of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals and a Distinguished Fellow of the International Academy of Mediators. His work in alternative dispute resolution has also been recognized by the Tennessee Supreme Court and federal courts.

His litigation background includes medical malpractice trials throughout Tennessee and Kentucky involving a wide range of healthcare specialties and providers, as well as significant products liability litigation on behalf of national manufacturers.

Earlier in his career, Jim served as a JAG Officer in the United States Air Force and as an Assistant District Attorney General for Knox County, Tennessee.

Jim has received numerous professional honors throughout his career. He has been named a Best Lawyers® “Lawyer of the Year” multiple times in areas including Health Care Law, Litigation – Health Care, Mediation and Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants.
