Elizabeth Lowrance Hausbeck
Biography
Elizabeth Lowrance Hausbeck is a Partner in our Missoula office where she focuses her practice on medical malpractice and health care matters.
Liz defends a wide range of health care clients including physicians, hospitals, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, professional counselors, and other health care providers in medical negligence actions, HIPAA complaints, risk management, and professional licensing disputes. She routinely appears before the Montana Medical Legal Panel, state licensing boards, and in state and federal courts.
Liz is regularly invited to speak at seminars on medical and legal liability and risk management and has written articles for the Montana Medical Association.
Prior to joining HBS, Liz was a Partner at a long-established firm in Missoula where she defended clients in medical malpractice, personal injury, and products liability matters involving pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and asbestos exposure.
Originally from Easley, South Carolina, Liz earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Montana where she graduated with honors and was the Co-Symposium Editor of the Montana Law Review. She also holds a Bachelor of Science from Montana State University in Bozeman, where she played tennis for the Bobcats. She and her husband Eric, a fly-fishing outfitter and guide, enjoy recreation and spending time with their two children.
