Geoffrey D. Sessions
Biography
Geoffrey D. Sessions is a Partner in our office in Jacksonville, Florida, and he has three decades of expertise in litigating and arbitrating all manner of claims, including aging services, medical malpractice, professional malpractice, and general liability claims.
Geoff works with doctors, nurses and other health care professionals as well as hospitals and health care facilities to aggressively defend them in both claims that arise and other legal endeavors. He is a longtime member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (where he currently serves as President of the Jacksonville chapter) and DRI, and he is AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rated™ from Martindale-Hubbell.
He has more than 30 years of knowledge and experience in handling a variety of litigation, arbitration, and transactional matters across several industries including health care, insurance, real estate, transportation, professional liability, and hospitality. Previously, he was a shareholder at two other firms in Jacksonville. Geoff began his career as a prosecutor in Tallahassee, Florida.
Geoff earned a Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, and during law school he was a member of the Trial Team, Moot Court Board, and Phi Delta Phi. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Florida State University.
Geoff has served on the board of multiple charities in Jacksonville and previously was a barrister in the Chester Bedell Inns of Court. He has served as a member and chairman of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee 4-B in Jacksonville and has served on multiple committees at Hall Booth Smith, including the Management Committee. Moreover, he has been honored to be included in multiple peer-reviewed organizations, including Best Lawyers® and Florida Trend’s Florida Legal Elite.
In his free time, Geoff enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and two children.

Geoff has extensive experience in defending health care professionals, hospitals, and long-term care facilities on the full spectrum of claims that arise including medical malpractice, negligence, and injury. He is a member of DRI’s Steering Committee for a Nursing Home/ALF Seminar.
With extensive trial and arbitration experience, Geoff is a trusted counselor in defending clients on liability claims. He is also a longtime member of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Geoff often works with doctors, nurses and other health care providers in addition to hospitals and health care facilities to create a strategic and thoughtful approach in defending them against claims of medical or professional malpractice.
