Sutton Eggena
Biography
Sutton Eggena is an associate in the Atlanta and Columbus offices, where he concentrates his practice on complex litigation, general liability, and appellate matters.
Before joining Hall Booth Smith, Sutton gained valuable experience as a summer associate with the firm, where he assisted in long-term care defense and fiduciary litigation. He conducted in-depth legal research, drafted pleadings and motions for state and federal courts, and supported attorneys in developing strategic case approaches. Sutton also completed a judicial internship with the Honorable L. Scott Coogler of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama, where he drafted bench opinions and observed a range of civil and criminal proceedings. Earlier in his career, Sutton clerked with firms in Alabama and Georgia, gaining exposure to diverse practice areas including real estate, estate planning, employment law, and probate.
Sutton earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Mercer University School of Law, where he served on the Mercer Law Review, is a member of Phi Delta Phi and the Brainerd Currie Honor Society. Sutton also participated in the peer mentor program and the business, bankruptcy & tax law society.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Auburn University, where he majored in business analytics.
