Hall Booth Smith Expands in New Jersey with Addition of Norton, Murphy Attorneys
ATLANTA – April 1, 2021 – Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is expanding in the New Jersey and New York area with the addition of Attorneys from the law firm of Norton, Murphy, Sheehy & Corrubia, P.C., as it continues to strengthen its insurance and liability defense services.
Seven Attorneys from the firm will be joining Hall Booth Smith.
Harry D. Norton, Jr. is joining HBS as a Partner, and he has more than 40 years of experience defending insurers and insureds in personal injury claims, premises liability, construction, governmental liability and other disputes. He is sought after by both courts and law firms for arbitration and mediation, and he serves as a Municipal Court judge and as a panel attorney for municipal insurance and liability funds. Norton earned a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, and a B.A. from Lafayette College.
Brian M. Murphy joins HBS as a Partner who specializes in insurance and liability litigation defense and has 40 years of legal experience at the state and federal level. He defends first and third party claims related to premises liability, construction accidents, construction defects, hospitality and property damage, automobile and truck accidents. Murphy also handles commercial disputes, contracts, insurance coverage and subrogation matters. He earned a J.D. from Fordham Law School and a B.A. from Trenton State College, which is now called The College of New Jersey.
William M. “Bill” Sheehy joins HBS as Of Counsel and brings nearly four decades of experience in business transactions, real estate, environmental matters, corporate and partnership law, and business planning and succession issues. In addition, Sheehy works with clients on wills, trusts, estate planning and administration. He earned a J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law and a B.A. from The University of Delaware.
Kelly P. Corrubia is joining the firm as a Partner, and she concentrates her practice on insurance defense, insurance coverage, public entity law and general civil litigation. She serves as Vice President of the Northern Region of the New Jersey Defense Association. Corrubia earned a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, and a B.A. from The College of New Jersey.
Jessica J. Petrassi joins HBS as an Associate, and she defends clients in insurance coverage lawsuits, premises liability, general liability, construction and tax matters. She also represents clients through the appeals process to preserve a hard-won victory or overturn an unfavorable verdict. She earned a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.S. from Fordham University.
Michelle Suralik-Horvath is joining the firm as an Associate, and she specializes in binding arbitration for personal injury protection benefits claims. She has more than 15 years of experience defending insurance carriers, construction companies and other businesses in a wide range of civil litigation, and previously worked with Chubb Insurance Group’s corporate counsel firm. Suralik-Horvath earned a J.D. from Seton Hall School of Law through the Dual Law Program that runs simultaneously with the Stillman School of Business, and she completed a B.A., magna cum laude, at Seton Hall University.
Lynda S. Korfmann joins HBS as Of Counsel, and she focuses her practice on transactional real estate matters. She earned a J.D. from Seton Hall School of Law, and a B.A. from Davidson College.
