Hall Booth Smith Names Ten New Partners
ATLANTA – August 1, 2019 – Hall Booth Smith, P.C. is pleased to announce that 10 attorneys have been named Partner as the firm recognizes the talent and dedication of leaders across numerous practice groups.
The new Partners are:
Laura Hall Cartner is member of the firm’s aging services and professional liability practice groups. She concentrates her practice in the healthcare industry, representing providers in civil litigation and liability claims with an emphasis on batch claim management. Laura also maintains a regulatory practice, advising providers on compliance, internal investigations, self-reporting requirements, risk management, policy development, and legislative interpretation. She earned a Juris Doctorate from the Charleston School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from Auburn University. She is based in the Atlanta office.
Jacquelyn Smith Clarke, who specializes in professional malpractice, medical malpractice, transportation, construction, and product liability matters. She earned a J.D. from the Walter F. George School of Law, magna cum laude and a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from Berry College. She works in the Atlanta office.
Scott Cole represents hospitality and medical/dental clients on corporate and regulatory matters, entity formation, asset purchases, licensing, real estate, and state and federal regulatory compliance, as well as business litigation. He also handles water supply, environmental and local government matters. He holds a law degree from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, and a civil engineering degree from Vanderbilt University. He is based in the Atlanta office.
Andrew K. Hazen works with clients in the agribusiness, commercial real estate, construction and healthcare industries on corporate and regulatory matters, entity formation, asset purchases, corporate restructuring, leasing, real estate, as well as business litigation. He earned a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Davidson College. He is based in the Atlanta office.
Christian G. Henry, who has more than two decades of litigation experience in government liability, general liability, construction, business litigation, insurance coverage and a variety of appellate matters before the Georgia Court of Appeals, Supreme Court and 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Georgia. He is based in the Athens office and primarily handles professional malpractice and complex litigation matters.
William S. Mann specializes in health care, dental, professional negligence and medical malpractice, general liability, employment and appellate matters. He received a Juris Doctorate from Mercer University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia. He is based in the HBS office in Brunswick, Georgia.
Lauren Spears specializes in health care, dental, professional negligence and medical malpractice matters. She is admitted to practice in both South Carolina and Georgia, and has tried cases in both jurisdictions. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Charleston School of Law, and her Bachelor of Arts from Wofford College. She is based in our office in Charleston, South Carolina.
Elizabeth Wieters focuses her practice on construction, insurance coverage and products liability matters across the entire life cycle of disputes from pre-suit payment workouts to alternative dispute resolution and multiparty complex litigation. She earned a Juris Doctorate from the Charleston School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. She is based in our office in Charleston, South Carolina.
Thomas K. Wingfield focuses his practice on insurance coverage matters. He has a wide range of coverage experience including matters involving builder’s risk policies, property policies, liability policies, directors and officers policies, errors and omissions policies, fine arts policies, life insurance policies and disability policies. He also represents clients in business disputes. He earned a Juris Doctorate from The University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from New York University. He works from the Atlanta office.
Tiffany Winks focuses her practice on construction, general liability, insurance coverage, and products liability. She has tried cases in Federal Court and State/Superior Courts. She currently serves as the Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for the Torts & Insurance Practice Section of the State Bar of Georgia. She earned a Juris Doctorate from the Charleston School of Law, cum laude, and her Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Clemson University. She is based in our Atlanta office.
