Paul E. Tennison
Biography
Paul Tennison is an Associate in our Nashville office where he practices in aging services, appellate, arbitration and mediation, business litigation, construction, general liability, health care, medical malpractice, premises liability, products liability, professional malpractice and ethics, and transportation matters.
Prior to joining HBS, Paul worked as a senior associate attorney with a broad civil litigation practice which included representing individuals and businesses in commercial or breach of contract disputes, family law disputes, defamation, and military law matters. He defended clients in all phases of litigation, from inception through discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiations, trials, and appeals. He also chaired the firm’s military law practice area and brought in over 50 cases in 5 years.
Before Paul began his legal career, he served as a field artillery officer with the Tennessee Army National Guard and the U.S. Army, where he served with distinction on active duty including overseas assignments. He acted as a battery commander, in charge of 105 soldiers during a deployment to Poland from 2019-2020 and was promoted to the rank of Major.
Paul earned his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University where he was a member of the Branstetter Litigation and Dispute Resolution Program. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy West Point.
